Welcome

Located at the edge of Rowhedge, our allotments provide a peaceful retreat for gardening enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a beginner, you'll find a welcoming environment here. Our plots offer space to grow your own vegetables, fruits, and flowers.

Rowhedge Allotment Association was established in 2009 by an enthusiastic group of volunteers, with the vision to create allotments for the village. After a great deal of work, the land was leased and the constitution agreed, the allotments opened in 2010. There are 63 full plots, most of which are let as half plots. This includes 16 new half plots which will open in 2024. All the plots have access to water and secure storage on site.

In 2025 The Association was registered by The FCA under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 as a Co-operative Society: as Rowhedge Allotment Association Ltd.  Registration number 5348. All members hold a £1 share. The Association is now governed by a set of rules.

A committee (elected by members for a maximum of three years) runs the Rowhedge Allotment Association on behalf of the members, they manage the membership, maintenance, security, plot inspections, let the plots and run a waiting list.
